Monologues They Haven't Heard
Published in Paperback by Dramaline Pubns (June, 1991)
Author: Roger Karshner
Average review score:

Good Ones for Students
I enjoyed this book because many of the monologues were well written, and allow the actor to play with the character. The comedic ones were very funny. Unfortunately it doesn't mention from where these monologues were taken or who wrote them. It might have been in the back of the book, I only took a quick read at it, but I wish it would be included in the pages with the monologues. Nonetheless, the monologues were great. I laughed out loud in the book store when I read them. And the dramatic ones were exactly that... dramatic, which allows for some good ol actin'. Good Buy!

Painting and Sculpture in Europe 1880-1940 (Yale University Press Pelican History of Art)
Published in Hardcover by Yale Univ Pr (June, 1900)
Author: George Heard Hamilton
Average review score:

Looking for a nice overview?
If one reads this book in hopes of getting a fairly complete overview of art of the early Twentieth Century, they will not be disappointed. However, if one is looking for something more in depth, with various examples of an artists oevure, then perhaps they should keep looking. One of this book's greatest virtues as an overview is that it does not assume a great deal of knowledge of art on the part of the reader and is relatively engaging. However, images are few and far between and not always of the best quality, which I find to be an integral part of an art historical publication.

The Principalities of Glantri: Special Module Gaz3 (Dungeons and Dragons)
Published in Paperback by TSR Hobbies (September, 1987)
Author: Bruce Heard
Average review score:

basic D&D magic Kingdom
This is a great sourcebook for the OD&D world Mystara. Glantri is a kingdom of high magic run by mages, it deals with the rulers, people and the secret magical societies that have developed in Glantri. It is a wonderful setting for D&D or other fantasy rpgs.

It was based in the basic D&D rules but had conversion notes for 2nd ed. and should convert easily into 3rd with the magical secret societies working well as prestige classes with little work.

Shots Heard Round the World

Shots Heard Round the World
This is must-read for anyone interested in American history. It's an anecdotal account of the contributions made by everyday citizens, passed down from generations.

National security requires an ongoing commitment from everyone as well as shared sacrifice. This book does a good job of bringing this commitment and sacrifice down to a family-by-family level.

I feel like our younger generations want to know this history, but are not well-informed. Does anyone else share my concern?

Turning : Words Heard from Within

Author: Claire H. Blatchford

Reading into your soul
A wonderful book for devotions, this book reads deep within your own self in a such a way that you would swear the writer knew you and what you needed the moment she wrote it! Each entry is an idea, a theme, or prayer. Sometimes they are presented simply at other times elegantly but at all times in a way that grabs you and teaches you something you need to know, want to know, or already know but needed to be reminded. It's a book to savor and hope it lasts a long time!

"Well, I heard it on the radio and I saw it on the television" : an essay for the Australian Film Commission on the politics and aesthetics of filmmaking by and about Aboriginal people and things
Published in Unknown Binding by Australian Film Commission ()
Author: Marcia Langton
Average review score:

'Heard It All Again Just the Other Day.
It seems difficult to write a new review for a book which has been in the public arena for so many years. Perhaps it is best to begin by pointing out that, given the current state of Australian politics, lessons arising from the issues raised by Marcia Langton (and many others) have not been learnt. I have personally always find Marcia Langton's approach to analysis of representations of Aboriginal people and politics in Australian society among the most useful starting points for researching and engaging in dialogues about Indigenous issues. Having been lectured by Marcia Langton once in an anthropology at the University of Queensland on the issue of original 'authenticity' and the development of the characters of mythical 'real Aborigines' in Australian media, and read many other similar reviews of similar subjects I tend to view Langton's work on cultural representation as being as perceptive and inciteful as that of Toni Morrisson and her analysis of filmic representations not unlike that of Fatimah Tobing Rony's "The Third Eye". For anyone thinking of visiting Australia or better understanding the nature of Indigenous politics as may be happening in light of the Sydney Olympics - one can do far worse than read this book to glean a better understanding of how to prevent the particular types of miscommunications and misrepresentations that seem always to occur within Australia - as everywhere.

Let's Be Heard
Published in Hardcover by Pocket Star (May, 1996)
Author: Bob Grant
Average review score:

Fearless, candid and full of common sense
"Let's Be Heard" should not be missed! This collection of essays should be required reading for every high school senior in America (it's too important to wait for college). LBH is an insightful, clearly written treatise on everything from the proper role of government in the lives of a free people, to taxation, immigration, and personal responsibility. Bob Grant is not afraid to expose the muddled thought of 'Limousine Liberals' and the inherent dishonesty of the leftist elite. With absolute candor and logic, Mr. Grant advances common-sense solutions to the most critical issues facing our nation.

Lets be heard is must reading for all Americans
I loved this book it was as entertaining and informative as the Bob Grant Radio Show Jack of Floral Park

upfront, controversial, honest and funny
I was truly sursprised to find only one review condemming the book, it's obvious that the person who wrote the review didn't read the book. It is truly a book of a true american hero and a conservative with common sense. Bob is not a racist, but he is speaking his mind and is not afraid from reviews like the one you put out. Bob is a genious who knows more of American history than any other media figure in the political correct society. Bob truly loves his country and hate seeing it going down the drain, as we all must admit it is. and for the review that you have posted i can only tell "its sick out there and getting sicker"
